4 Ramadhan

Berpuasa kat sini suasananye sgt2 berbeza dgn kat Malaysia. Sekarang kat sini musim panas dan tetntunya tempoh waktu siang lebih panjang dr malam. Jadi, di Jepun ni, tempoh berpuasa lebih kurang 14 jam..Kemudian, waktu masuk subuhnya sangatlah awal...dlm pkul 350 pagi.So , terpaksalah bangun sahur awal2 pkul 3 pagi...mula2 terase susah nk bgn...huhu...tp itulah cabaran berpuasa apabila di luar negara...lg, kat sini xde bazar2 Ramadhan mcm kat mesia tu...same ade masak sendiri atau mkn kat luar atau open house kat surau2 dan masjid2...tp kebiasaannya masak sendiri lah baru bole jimat and dpt mkn lauk melayu...:p lagi satu, kat sini kelilingnye org jepun ,n diorang mane ade nk puase kan. so mase diorang makan lunch ke,coklat ke,aiskrem ke kat depan kite, terpakselah kite menelan air liur aje...sabor ajela kan...Walau ape2 pun, kat mane saje salah satu rukun Islam ini tetap wajib dilaksanakan dgn penuh sabar dan ikhlas... SELAMAT BERPUASA!

Bulan Ramadhan kini kembali

The fasting month has returned and this time is the 4th year and MAYBE the last year I am fasting here in Japan , far, far away from my beloved family...I can't say that I don't feel sad because that's just what I'm feeling right now... but what to do...you can't change the fact, right.(really miss the Ramadhan bazaar..uhuhu) So, here I would like to wish Muslims all over the world a happy fasting month and may this will be the greatest Ramadhan than before.Peace!

(p.s:my right eye suddenly burst into a big golf ball and it really hurts..and it was a really like "let's challenge my fasting day" when tried to go to the right hospital under the hot sun..I end up going to two hospitals as the first one which I went two weeks ago only recieve eye patients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays ONLY!...can you belive that!!!)

(p.s again:today's menu for berbuka are dendeng, cabbage and carrot soup, plus caramel pudding with milo and natchan's orange juice.A whole lot of meal I guess for only one person..hehe)

Brain food

What you eat may affect how you think. Here are some excellent brain foods.

Omega-3 fatty acids

They're found in fatty fish like salmon and tuna and in flaxseed oil, walnuts and canola oil. Or you can take three grams of fish oil a day. Look for brands with toxins removed. Recently, researchers found that pregnant women who ate at least 12 ounces of seafood a week containing omega-3s had children with significantly higher IQ scores, a lower risk of behavioral problems, and fewer difficulties with fine motor skills, communication and social development. (If you're pregnant and worried about mercury, the FDA says to eat no more than 12 ounces of fish a week.)

Blueberries

Certain fruits and vegetables may slow and even reverse age-related declines in brain function and motor performance. Blueberries appear to be especially healthy. They're rich in anthocyanins, flavonoids that seem to offer brain benefits.

Green tea

In addition to its other healthy properties, green tea may help improve memory and prevent some age-related memory loss.

Chocolate

Here's everybody's favorite (in moderation, of course). Some dark chocolate is rich in flavonols, substances that dilate your arteries. A study found that flavonol-rich cocoa improved blood flow, which may help prevent age-related dementia.
